The Business Executive Communications Group has opened nominations for the 2nd edition of the Ghana Trade & Commerce Conference & Awards, a high-profile gathering aimed at accelerating trade-driven growth and celebrating exemplary actors in Ghana’s commercial ecosystem. The half-day conference, exhibition, and gala awards will be staged at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra, on 13 February 2026 under the theme: “Creating a prosperous Ghanaian economy through the expansion of trade and commerce.”

The event, put together in partnership with the African Chamber for Trade (ACT) and supported by the International Business Council (IBC.Africa) brings together traders, manufacturers, logistics and financial service providers, regulators, multilateral partners and diplomats. Organisers say the three-pronged format conference, exhibition, and awards is designed to both showcase traded goods and services and catalyse concrete commercial linkages across domestic and cross-border value chains.
The carefully curated conference programme features a keynote from the Ministry of Trade & Industry, presentations on evolving trade frameworks from representatives of the World Trade Centre and GNCCI, and panel discussions aimed at surfacing practical deal-making opportunities. An exhibition running alongside the conference will allow businesses to present products to a targeted audience of buyers, suppliers, and service providers; floor space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Nominations are open to retail and wholesale traders, exporters/importers, manufacturers who trade their own products, and providers of finance, logistics, and promotional or regulatory services. A transparent, multi-stage selection process underpins the awards: public nominations and self-nominations are verified by a contracted research team; entries that meet eligibility are assessed by award consultants; shortlisted nominees are then adjudicated by a specialist jury using a quantitative scoring model to ensure credibility and fairness.
Winners will be celebrated at a five-star gala attended by senior government officials, sector leaders, and international partners. Award packages ; Platinum, Gold, and Bronze, offer varying levels of exposure, from on-screen branding and personal event documentaries to media interviews and membership opportunities with ACT and IBC.Africa. TBE stresses that the scheme is sponsorship-funded and that winners will receive plaques, citations, and significant publicity to help scale their market reach.
For enterprises seeking to expand trade ties, access buyers, or attract investment, the event positions itself as a practical marketplace as much as a ceremony. “This is about matching capable trade players with credible partners and fixing supply chains so Ghana can seize regional and global opportunities,” the organisers say.
