Preparations are underway for the 4th Edition of the African Public Service Optimum Awards (APSO) & Conference, scheduled to take place on 12th November 2025 at the prestigious La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. This highly anticipated continental event is expected to draw leading policymakers, public servants, innovators, private sector executives, and development partners from across Africa and beyond.

 

Held under the theme: “Transformative Leadership in Advancing Effective Public Service for a Changing Africa,” APSO 2025 aims to spotlight the evolving role of public institutions in addressing emerging socio-economic challenges on the continent. The conference will explore leadership models, governance approaches, institutional efficiency, and new policy directions required to support Africa’s long-term development agenda.

 

The awards segment recognises exemplary contributions in public administration, policy leadership, and citizen-centred service delivery. According to the organisers, the event is designed not only to celebrate excellence but also to foster B2B networking, professional development, diversity and inclusion, as well as high-level knowledge exchange.
