You are currently viewing Countdown to Volta Fair 2025: A New Wave of Innovation and Women-led Business Leadership

Momentum is building across the Volta Region as stakeholders lay the groundwork for the 7th Volta Trade and Investment Fair, set for 26th November to 8th December 2025 at the Ho Sports Stadium.

As anticipation rises, attention is also turning to the forthcoming Volta Women Entrepreneurs’ Forum, which is poised to spotlight the leadership, creativity, and economic influence of women in business. The forum signals a renewed commitment to empowering women-led enterprises, fostering innovation, and expanding opportunities across regional and global markets.

Set to be held in December 2025 in Ho, the Volta Women Entrepreneurs’ Forum is themed:
“Empowering Volta Women Entrepreneurs for Global Partnerships and a Thriving 24-Hour Economy.”

The forum aims to create an influential platform for women to engage, connect, and unlock new avenues for business growth. It will gather leading female entrepreneurs, development partners, and policy influencers to share strategies that strengthen women-led enterprises and expand opportunities across local and global markets.

The initiative comes at a pivotal moment as the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, recently convened a strategic meeting with Volta Brand Ambassadors and key stakeholders to ensure the success of this year’s Volta Fair. The discussions centred on collaboration, innovation, and targeted efforts to position the Volta Region as a competitive hub for trade, tourism, industry, and investment.

Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Gunu highlighted the need to project Volta’s unique cultural identity, investment potential, and entrepreneurial strength to both national and international audiences. He emphasised that the region’s development agenda cannot be fully realised without the active participation and empowerment of women, who constitute a significant force in commerce, agriculture, creative enterprise, and community development.

The Volta Women Entrepreneurs’ Forum therefore serves not only as a networking event but as a bold statement of inclusion and economic readiness. It will feature interactive discussions, inspirational storytelling, and practical workshops designed to equip women with the skills and partnerships needed to thrive in the evolving economic landscape, particularly within Ghana’s proposed 24-hour economy framework.

Organisers say attendees should expect a dynamic and energising environment where ideas meet investment opportunities. The forum will also align with the broader Volta Fair, which continues to attract thousands of participants, local and international exhibitors, investors, and business leaders each year. The combined atmosphere promises to enhance visibility for home-grown industries and foster productive collaborations that drive sustainable economic growth.

As the region counts down to one of its most significant commercial and cultural periods of the year, excitement continues to build. The Volta Fair 2025 is expected to showcase the best of the region’s innovation, hospitality, cultural heritage, and entrepreneurial excellence.

The countdown is on : Volta is ready to host Ghana and the world once again.
