The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has stated that the setting up of factories across Ghana will ensure that the country moves towards industrialization. The government initiated the One District Factory program in 2017 to spearhead the industrialization of the West African country of 30 million people.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said he was determined to move the economy from the export of raw materials to value addition, hence the establishment of the factories.
The Presidency on Monday Janury 17 2022 tweeted the that “The setting up of factories and industries which, will in turn, move the country towards greater industrialization.
“It is aimed at creating more jobs for Ghanaians across the length and breadth of the country,” the tweet added.
