The benchmark Index moderated by 1.02 points (-0.05%) due to downward price movement in GCB Bank Limited (-0.80%) to close at 2,211.19 with a -2.04% year-to-date return while market capitalization was down 0.05% to settle at GH¢ 57.71 billion.

Accordingly, the GSE Financial Index inched 1.89 points (-0.09%) lower to close at 2,000.63 points with a -0.94% year-to-date return while the SAS Manufacturing Index recorded no gains or losses, closing at 3,267.70 with a year-to-date return of -6.14%.

Trading activity strengthened as 273,818 shares valued at GH¢475,142 changed hands compared with 5,013 shares valued at GH¢12,859 at the previous session. Enterprise Group Limited dominated trades by volume and value, accounting for 82.21% of total volume traded and 77.70% of the total value traded.

We expect trading activity to pick up as investors await more earnings announcements.
