Nominations have opened for the all-time flagship corporate awards event in the country, Ghana Industry CEOs Awards. The fourth edition of the annual awards scheme will see winners conferred with awards in various categories on 12th November, 2021 at the Accra Marriot Hotel.

The awardees in each category of the sectors of the Ghanaian economy and the public sector will be recognized at a red carpet strictly by invitation awards conferment ceremony.

The Ghana Industry CEOs Awards, dubbed ‘Ghana’s Most Respected CEOs,’ will be on the theme: “The Contribution of Corporate Ghana to Revenue Generation for Attaining Ghana Beyond Aid.” The awards are organized by The Business Executive Limited.

The awards are aimed at identifying and publicly recognizing the most outstanding Chief Executives in corporate Ghana across a wide range of sectors. Eligible awardees include CEOs of both private and public sector corporations and institutions.

Awardees will be selected by the Ghanaian public who will first nominate CEOs for shortlisting, following verification of the nominations; and who will subsequently vote for the shortlisted nominees with those receiving the highest votes in each sector category being declared the winners by the scheme’s official validation partners.

The selection process is very comprehensive, and takes the following form:

  • Nominations are invited from the public through announcements made in the media and on an awards website. The announcements establish the primary criteria to be used in the initial assessment of the nominations and which will guide voters.
  • The Business Executive Ltd. specially contracted a dedicated team of research and analyses consultants who assess the nominations in order to trim them down to a manageable number for each sector.
  • Each nomination on the ballot is then given a short code and a voting number; the former is used for SMS voting and the voting number for email voting. An announcement is placed in the media and on the awards website as to the candidates eligible to be voted for and their respective categories, their respective short codes and ballot numbers, and the timelines for opening and closing of voting.

The results are compiled and validated by a separate team of auditors, with members drawn from several different audit firms to ensure transparency, authenticity and acceptability.
