In a press release issued in Accra, Ghana’s capital city, on 22nd March, 2022, the organizers stated that the awards will be hosted with the Pan-African Women Conference, which is a key pillar in the efforts to support the development and growth of women across Africa with regard to entrepreneurial, managerial and professional capacities, performance and conduct and ultimately their contributions to the continent’s socio-economic progress.

The one-day conference is run on the theme: Celebrating Women’s Economic and Socio-cultural achievements in Africa amidst the pandemic.

The awards conferment ceremony will be held in the evening following the conference. The awards event will confer awards on pre-selected women derived from pre-determined process as designed by the awards board committee and conducted independently of the organizers themselves – drawn from all across Africa for their exemplary conduct and achievements in various fields of economic, social, cultural, artistic and recreational activity.

The event is expected to be attended by awardees, participants at the preceding conference, leading entrepreneurs, corporate executives, professionals, public officials (both sovereign and multinational) diplomats, civil society leaders, traditional rulers and the international media.
