The Government of Tanzania has revised part of its travel advisory as a result of fears of new imported cases to the Land of Kilimanjaro.
In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Professor Mabula Mchembe and released on Wednesday 5th August, It said the country has observed a downward trend in the infection rate of coronavirus however there is a cause of concern of possible importation of new cases into the country.
“After reviewing the current situation of Covid-19 infection in the country, we have observed a decreasing trend of admitted Covid-19 cases as evidenced by the closure of Covid-19 Isolation/Treatment Centres.”
It further ””… there is a likelihood of importation of cases from other countries.”
