The Business Executive Ltd. (TBE), a Pan-African media, communication and events firm with presence in Ghana and other parts of Africa, has postponed its series of corporate events scheduled to be held this year indefinitely due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide.

The postponement includes both TBE’s local and international events. New dates will be announced immediately they are decided upon by the management of TBE. Some of the events include the Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards, Ghana Development Awards and African Global Trade and Investment Awards.

A press release issued in Accra and signed by Paulette Kporo, the Group Chief Executive Officer of TBE, stated that “All TBE’s events culminate ultimately in a large gathering of people at one place and being that the coronavirus is a respiratory infection carried in the air, such gatherings could easily result in further spread of the virus. In view of this, extensive travel restrictions and bans of public gatherings are already being enforced in many parts of the world, including places such as the United States and the United Kingdom where TBE has events scheduled for 2020.”

The release said new dates will be announced for each of the events when clear signs of the end of the coronavirus emerge and ongoing travel restrictions and public gathering bans are rescinded.

“However, all preparations for the respective events are continuing unabated, particularly processes that can be done through electronic communication and therefore do not require actual physical contact,” it noted.

TBE enjoined the participants of its impending events to continue with their internal preparations and their electronic communication with the company. “TBE is confident that the issues resulting from the coronavirus outbreak will soon be resolved and currently expects that its 2020 events shall be held this year, albeit at dates later than originally scheduled.”

TBE is the publisher of The Business Executive magazine, a leading specialized monthly publication that covers the economy, business, finance, investment, diplomacy, tourism, and socio-economic development issues which is circulated and read in the West African sub-region, and the rest of the African continent.
