Vivo Energy has partnered the African Business Centre for Developing Education (ABCDE) and the British Council to hold a forum on education, with special attention paid to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Accra on 18 February 2020.
The stakeholders at the forum to discuss new methods and incentives being used to make the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-related courses more attractive for girls. The forum created awareness for teachers and students to embrace digital learning in order to complement the traditional methods of teaching and learning.
Mr. Kingsley Boakye, an official of the Ministry of Education who delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Education, said the Ministry is bent on promoting females in the STEM sector. Mr. Boakye said the Ministry has outlined measures and structures to make learning and teaching easier and more attractive to the girl-child from the primary to the pre-tertiary level.
